Tent Extravaganza in Stuttgart, Germany

Posted by on May 23, 2012 in PHOTOGRAPHY

Some of the folks down in Germany definitely have a personal flair to how they put up their temporary living quarters. After the construction of the Stuttgart 21 train station started, protesters flocked to the sight to object the building of what could be the largest construction site in Europe. Demonstrators set up camp along the location and have created make shift homes using a colorful and organic array of objects like blankets, tarps, umbrellas and sticks. German photography studio Frank Bayh & Steff Rosenberger-Ochs has captured the personalized shelters in their photo series “The Development of New Urban Quarters in the Heart of the City.” These swanky creations display a unique form of architectural expression that protrudes from what is necessary into a slew of unexpected variations of a shelter.
