French designer Thomas Merlin created “Tools” for the furniture company Entreautre, it’s a line of coffee tables that seek to establish a connection between wood and metal with influence from mechanical instruments. The table top is made up three identical pieces that are joined together by nuts and bolts, these pieces are then pressed into the split ash feet and held together by wooden pins.
