The Slavik Summer Houses by Mat Fahlander

Nestled between two Fjords in the abundant terrain of Lysekil, Sweden lies two summer homes that’s characterized by the distinct topography of its surroundings. Mat Fahlander designed one house on the highest point of the area and another smaller one, both existing as one unit facing against the roaring sea. The houses appear to float above the nearby rocks in the untouched landscape. Hanging from a façade, outdoor bridges and platforms wrap around the house allowing residents to walk around the homes. Inhabitants can enjoy a mixed aroma of their own cooking with the scent of the sea in a kitchen nearest to the ocean while the private rooms are closed off in the rear. The guesthouse has a sauna and a bedroom while the rest of the interiors is covered in an untreated fir. The sparkling waters of the ocean is magnified by the evening sunlight and is mirrored off of the glass panels inside.
