Kyobate House by Naoko Horibe Architects

Posted by on Jun 20, 2012 in ARCHITECTURE

The Kyobate home in Nara, Japan integrates a variation of living spaces while providing wellbeing and inspiration. This familial dwelling has a Japanese styled mezzanine with tatami flooring that extends out into the first floor where the living, dining and kitchen area almost serve as one. Naoko Hirobe designed it to give each room views of each other as well as views of the children’s rooms on the second floor. This mezzanine links together all of the different spaces of the home and accentuates the home’s outer appearance.
