Starfall Farm by Invisible Studio

Posted by on Jul 19, 2012 in ARCHITECTURE

The Starfall Farmhouse rests along the St Catherine Valley in North East Somerset, England enhanced by its extension made from destroyed barns. This structure, designed by Invisible Studio, has an asymmetric pitch that allows the morning light to pierce deep into the building overflowing it with light. Timber cladding covers parts of the extension’s openings and smoothly wraps around the extension to blend the old into the new. This addition is risen to five steps to bring in views of the bountiful vegetation nearby. Sliding glass doors vanish into the walls in the kitchen and bring in views of the beautiful valley just outside.
