Space Shuttle Enterprise Exhibit in New York City

Posted by on Jul 23, 2012 in NEWS AND EVENTS

As commercial space flight becomes increasingly plausible, it’s incredible to consider that only four NASA shuttles remain. Enterprise—which is now on view at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum—was the prototype that commenced space exploration in 1977. Discovery, Atlantis and Endeavour followed, with success; and Challenger (1986) and Columbia (2003) both met with disaster. To visit the Space Shuttle Enterprise in New York is, plainly, an astronomical opportunity.
