Self-Watering Planter by Joey Roth

Posted by on Jul 25, 2012 in DESIGN, HOME DECOR

The new self-watering planter by Joey Roth hearkens back to the Olla jar, used by ancient farmers to conserve limited water supplies. The modern conception is more luxury than necessity: it can be used indoors or outside, and is crafted from understated, unglazed earthenware. The naturally porous earthenware draws in water through the central chamber, and that water then seeps into the surrounding soil. The plants themselves drive the process, and the pot can hold up to three herbs or six succulents.
