“Blowing Molds” Inflated Latex Lamps by Eden Ohana

Posted by on Aug 15, 2012 in DESIGN, HOME DECOR

Israeli designer Eden Ohana has managed to create a highbrow form of balloon art: his new lighting series “Blowing Molds” is made from simple latex. Ohana crafts the bulbous pieces by pouring latex into a mold and “inflating” it with a “volume definer.” The mysterious process produces solid balloon-like lamps that take the likeness of gigantic gourds or flower petals. Ohana sees the project as a statement on the “unlimited options of expressions.”
