Flat Zoo by Yang:Ripol

  • London design studio Yang:Ripol uses simple materials in simple ways—and ends up with a charming, quirky product. The pieces of “Flat Zoo”—ducks, owls, penguins, elephant, monkey and whale—are each made from five pieces of thin, printed plywood bound by a single blue rubber band. Both designers graduated from the Royal College of Art.’

  • Janet ABOUT JANET WLODY - Janet is a senior at Kenyon College studying English with a Creative Writing emphasis. She has a particular affinity for American literature, and enjoys discovering the narrative(s) behind a piece of art. GBlog is her blogging debut, and she is grateful for newfound exposure to objects such as the “Bug Light.” (She favors the stately praying mantis.)
