Clean, colorful, and sociable, Carpet Critters make the perfect household companions for children and adults alike. François Chambard of UM Project put together this motley assortment of miniatures, and each packs a personality to match its custom shape, texture, and form. A mailbox-shaped friend is covered in a fuzzy gray felt and stares with a complacent expression, while an associate – a white block that grew some colorful spots and sprouted six legs – tiptoes in the distance. This team, available as Super Pack: 7 Carpet Critters, rallies for a good cause. As a collective entry amidst 31 other works from a variety of artists and designers, the auctioning of all of the art ultimately supports DIFFA, Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS. Poignantly so, Carpet Critters is a microcosmic representation of the fact that all unique individuals can unite to make a difference, whether it be as small as a instigating a smile or as impactful as saving a life.
