Bottiglie d’Artista by CreativeAsti

Posted by on Oct 9, 2012 in ART, ITALIANS DO IT BETTER

The creative team at CreativeAsti aim to preserve cultural richness in Asti, Italy. The non profit organization coordinates art events throughout the year to bring beauty and inspiration to the community. This year, they are highlighting Douja d’Or, the annual wine fair, by featuring large fiberglass wine bottles decorated by local artists in the courtyard of Palazzo del Michelerio. They called this display “Bottiglie d’Artista” in celebration of both wine and Asti. While some decorated bottles are clean and bold in design others are thoughtful and unpredictable with deeper meaning behind the artwork.  One artist turned the bottle on its head.  Another took the comical approach with two images one being sad with a full glass of wine, one being happier with an empty glass of wine. There is a bottle wrapped in blue with schools of fish swimming all around. And of course, representing, an artist proudly painted the colors of the Italian flag on their bottle.  More images of the artists with their bottles can be seen here.
