Płynneinterwencje is a sculptural work that is part of a series by artist Krystian Truth Czaplicki that also calls upon the idea of public art and intervention. The steel construction of the piece is hard to believe; when among the natural elements surrounding the site in Wrocław, Czaplicki’s hometown, the towering structure appears lightweight, as if it were a floatation device. This organic representation is further highlighted in its alternate intervention near the edge of the beach, where waves wash over the abstract sculpture that – surprisingly – does not seem so out-of-place. The navigation between a fabricated intervention and an incidental discovery is the fine line that Czaplicki dances around when creating these works.
