Chicken roulade, cake roulade… sofa roulade? Roulade, a smartly-designed lounger from Scandinavian industrial design firm KiBiSi, represents the same sentiment: a warm, comforting bundle of fun and enjoyment. The button-tufted hybrid between mattress and chair delivers comfort through its high-density foam composition, which is conveniently rolled up into a form that hugs any tired individual who cares to take a seat. The luxury is in the fabric upholstery, a soft Kvadrat that is available in royal blue and heather gray. In lieu of the thoughtfulness behind the product, Roulade exudes a carefree and impromptu look, as if a lonely mattress just happened to fall into place as an inviting space for a quick read or a nap.
