Cabana Bascunan by Matías Silva & Architects
Simplicity in form and style is the perfect solution for Cabaña Bascuñan, a house that occupies a small hill in Los Lagos of Chile. Designed by Matías Silva & Architects, the cabin-like house presents a warm hominess that is accentuated by the rich, wooden interiors. The organization of the program is more or less traditional, with second-floor bedrooms and baths that sit above a living room and kitchen. The magic in the ambience, however, is something special; small lights are inset into the wall adjacent to the stairs, illuminating every other step and leading the way to comfort and relaxation.
