Diego Gravinese

Posted by on Oct 27, 2012 in ART

Unreal, amazing, phenomenal, these paintings leave you just about speechless. What a crystal clear capturing of the ordinary moments! Like Norman Rockwell on crack, Argentinean Diego Gravinese has given us the sharpest images on canvas; you might have mistaken them for a photograph. These are, in fact, oil and acrylic paintings. Much of his color pallet is punchy turquoise and peeps of canary yellow. He takes us to girls being incredibly vulnerable, from shamelessly drinking from a carton to applying makeup, being silly on a fishing trip to clasping a bra.
