Thab, Tibetan Nomad Cookstove

Posted by on Nov 7, 2012 in DESIGN

Thab is a Tibetan Nomad cookstove designed to create minimal smoke as they fire it up inside their tents. It can handle flames thanks to the “L” shaped chimney exiting through the underside.  The base is surrounded by wire mesh made out of recycled wire hangers that hold delightful stones which spread the heat evenly. A sweet little pot generous in volume complete with lid and heat resistant handles sits atop the burner. Compact and portable, this likable gadget creates a beautiful finish to any outdoor kitchen.
