While sometimes structure is something to be hidden, there is beauty in the careful physics of framework and Midi Colors is just the furniture collection to tease out this inherent asset. Designed by the Spanish firm Lagranja Design for custom furniture business Sistema Midi, the colorful assortment of furniture presents a dichotomy of elements: the structure and the surface. The structural components resemble life-sized stick-figures in orange, olive green, and yellow, each one strategically bent to support a simple surface. Other pieces in the collection employ the same concept to bring a fun awareness to the structural engineering behind furniture design.
