Compiled Lamp by Sebastian Jansson

Posted by on Nov 15, 2012 in DESIGN, HOME DECOR

Compiled Lamp lives up to its name, for the many different variations in which the lamp is offered are each composed of creative mash-ups of a vase, a bowl, and a basket. The design exercise fashioned by Sebastian Jansson is intended to demonstrate the nonexistence of limitation as presented by inseparable, fixed components in design. By reworking order, direction, and color, a seemingly infinite number of designs emerge, accented by the bold yellows and classic whites in the palette. In the combining and recombining, new forms emerge and after those sculptural entities follow respective lighting functions. The options are endless, and the instruction manual requires just one tool: imagination.
