Felt Collage Illustrations by Jacopo Rosati

Posted by on Dec 8, 2012 in ART, ITALIANS DO IT BETTER

These awesome Felt Collage Illustrations by Italian artist Jacopo Rosati resemble the comic book pages we all grew up with.  Each fun scene tells its own story, blasting primary colors and words in bold print to characterize the violence.  Since it is all produced with felt, it draws out desire to handle the art, feeling its soft texture and the layers that are pasted upon each other.

In this version, Wonder Woman seems to have taken on a few pounds.  Her adventures are never ending, as she soars through the sky suited up for action.  She’s got her game face on.

He features his hometown of Venice with it’s archways and close quarters as the surrounding waters lapp by.
