Batavus BUB by Remko Verhaagen

  • The design for the BUB, Batavus Utility Bike, was inspired by one of the most common office items: a paper clip. Designers Remko Verhaagen and Waldo Reijnders, while working for VanBerlo, decided to take a simple approach to the creation of the urban bicycle that features durable construction and fun, extra-wide, 26-inch tires for a look of comfort and ease. The frame – available in white, grey, black – can be jazzed up with colorful accessories, bands of color around the tubing, all the while preserving the iconic and classic look of the Dutch bike.
