Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree, how lovely is your artistic electric light spectacle.  Here we have a project well done with cubes stacked and assembled in the recognizable evergreen pyramid.  The lights change color from dazzling emerald to exciting fuchsia.  A futuristic take on the traditional Christmas tree in Brussels sure to make your spirits bright. However, this flashy display at the Grand Place has ruffled some local feathers. A response by the city councilor Philippe Close, “What we want is just to modernize the pleasure of winter, of this Christmas market and all the image of Brussels.  For people who want a traditional religious symbol, we have the nativity scene here in the square.  For people who want modernity, we have this new tree.”

I find a way to fearlessly provoke your senses and take you by the heart to whatever it is I’m writing about. My sweet spot is creative writing, but for the last 20 years I have been providing freelance content for publications on sustainability and green practices, design, architecture, fashion, and non-profit charity. Recently all wrapped up in producing my first book. I have bounced from NYC to Indianapolis, but my true home is a lovely small town in Central Pennsylvania where there’s a legit drive-your-tractor-to-school-day.
