Work can be fun, and Sean Kenney’s and Jung Ah Kim’s recent collaboration proves that playfulness is also productive. Kenney, famous for his collection of artistic projects and sculptures built completely out of the familiar LEGO blocks, has broadened his repertoire to include colorful and stylized lamps. The lamps, each piece monochromatically featuring a LEGO color paired with a white lampshade, were designed by Jung Ah Kim and are available in five different models. The fascination that falls upon these textured lamps is rooted in the “pixelation” that occurs through configuring the orthogonal blocks to portray a smooth curve of the lamp’s surface. Buy here
