Architect Felipe Hess and best friend Guilherme Perez joined forces transforming a beaming white mansion from the early 1900s into a hip hostel in Sao Paulo, Brazil. A combination of a deep routed friendship and creative talent the We Hostel is inviting, fresh, with off the hook elements that make this place accommodating to young adults with eclectic taste.
Our tour begins with a sweeping staircase that cascades through the center of the colonial. Modern pendants hang each on their own to brighten up the foyer with style. Everything is ready for guests to settle in and make themselves at home with a generously stocked kitchen and rows of bunks that are straight as a pin. There’s plenty of seating to spread out comfortably and nostalgic details of vintage finds everywhere you look. Each room of the home provides its own clever way of causing us to linger. A book nook set with a snazzy animal rug and exquisite crown moulding combines the new and old, the style savvy and architecturally timeless.
