Everyone has their own way of doing things, including artist Jared Clark. By holding markers with his face, mouth, or side of the arm and adding a few drops of water splashed on top, he creates untamed works of art. Their array of hyper colors is mellowed by the gentle coasting of long squiggly lines and bleeding dots. Each completed piece is the source of entertainment watching him draw without traditional methods, his mustache perfectly curled.

Jared says of his work, “The series came naturally from this idea of filming the bleed images of markers – and using physical limitations as a way of keeping the image pure. Once the physical limitation ideas took the forefront, I turned the camera from the paper to myself and a path into performance was born.”

I find a way to fearlessly provoke your senses and take you by the heart to whatever it is I’m writing about. My sweet spot is creative writing, but for the last 20 years I have been providing freelance content for publications on sustainability and green practices, design, architecture, fashion, and non-profit charity. Recently all wrapped up in producing my first book. I have bounced from NYC to Indianapolis, but my true home is a lovely small town in Central Pennsylvania where there’s a legit drive-your-tractor-to-school-day.
