Real stars might be millions of light years away, but these plywood stars reside within proximity here on Earth. Starlight, an installation from Erich Remash, Jeremy Berglund, Don Peterson, and Chad Ingle for Burning Man 2012, brings the majesty of the constellations to Black Rock Desert. Each of the seven stars display a unique pattern on the CNC-cut planes so that each shines differently, though the twelve-foot sculptures are collectively configured to portray the cluster Orion. Needless to say, the stars are most impressive at nighttime, but these specific pieces can be appreciated in broad daylight as well.
