You look just like your father.  People always used to tell me. I’d turn and look at my dad who would no doubt be making a ridiculous face, crooked, tongue sticking out, eyes crossed saying, “Awe, that’s nice do you really think so?” Very funny, dad.

Exaggerating silly faces of seemingly normal contestants with the use of Scotch Tape, Wes Naman‘s photography is hamming it up. He wraps them with lips raised, eyebrows out of place, cheeks squeezed and ears pinned to the head. His talent for drawing reaction out of the audience is a treasure. Be honest, how many of these distorted expressions can you relate to this week?

The artist even cracks himself up, recently writing in his blog, “So here is the first of my new series…it’s pretty self explanatory…Full of deep meaning and metaphor, both negative and positive…a social commentary that defies all common sense…HA!”

I find a way to fearlessly provoke your senses and take you by the heart to whatever it is I’m writing about. My sweet spot is creative writing, but for the last 20 years I have been providing freelance content for publications on sustainability and green practices, design, architecture, fashion, and non-profit charity. Recently all wrapped up in producing my first book. I have bounced from NYC to Indianapolis, but my true home is a lovely small town in Central Pennsylvania where there’s a legit drive-your-tractor-to-school-day.
