Maya Desk by James Melia

You might want to take a closer look at the Maya Desk to make sense of its full potential. Designed by UK-based designer James Melia for Dare Studio, the solid wood desk literally hides more secrets than it appears to hold. The desk has a large drawer for safekeeping office supplies, and two hidden compartments for those personal letters and other special items that deserve to be kept for your eyes only. The seamless incorporation of the compartments’ forms into the rounded, filleted edge of the desk is what makes Maya Desk a space-saving and stylish piece. The surface of the desk comes in timber or Corian, and the rest of the spindly structure is offered in finishes including American black walnut, white oak, or ash.
