Daikanyama by Thomas Bernstrand for Zero Lighting

Posted by on Feb 4, 2013 in DESIGN, HOME DECOR

Japanese matsuri, or festivals, are community affairs during which neighbors join one another in celebration in the decorated streets. Oftentimes, colorful lanterns are hung across alleyways, and the image of suspended lights in Daikanyama, Tokyo inspired Thomas Bernstrand to design a collection  of pendant lights christened Daikanyama after the district’s name. The simple, aluminum lights hang from cables to simulate the magical effect, and come in a variety of traditional Eastern colors: white, black, red, white, yellow, and orange. With Daikanyama, every day can be transformed into a special occasion! Available at Zero Lighting
