Oh, don’t be so jealous. If you had priceless property on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea you’d build a palace of panoramic gorgeous views too. What an absolute gem in North Israel designed by architect Heidi Arad. The property of House A hugs a nature reserve which accounts for the lack of neighbors.
Our tour begins with the lush landscape held within natural stone walls. Wooden slats at the entrance facilitate a warm welcome from the walkway all the way up the door, fragrant basil at your feet. There are minimal details on the exterior beyond concrete. Inside, oh wow, you can just about feel the breeze coming from the open sliding doors that guide you directly to the inviting patio, surrounded by gardens and absolute shalom. The living space is pure and down to earth from the discreteness of hidden modern appliances to the owners personal library floor to ceiling. The space is dramatized by a floating staircase, many furniture pieces made of glass to take your eyes through the home pass the windows and into the beauty of Habonim, Israel.
