Lilicoptere by Joana Vasconcelos
Joana Vasconcelos has imagined up the most entertaining exhibit called Lilicoptere just outside of Paris at the world famous palace Chateau de Versailles.
Her majesty approaches the helicopter. Ostrich feathers in shades of pretty pink cover the cockpit, trail across the rotator blades. We imagine the affect of wind on the fancy ride, blowing the special decorations uncontrollably. All over rhinestones made of Swarovski crystals sparkle wildly in the sunlight. The interior is upholstered just as refined appearing more like an antique settee than bucket seats. Controls placed in walnut wood, the leather seats dyed rose, carpets made of Arraiolos rugs. Careful landing! Those skids are made of gold. More than a just quick ride from her NY penthouse apartment to her mansion in the Hamptons, it’s all about accessorizing. Don’t you realize how many people will see me from up in the sky?!
