Elephant Rocking Chair by Kristalia

The comforting lullaby in the cradle of a rocking chair takes us from the juggling act of life into a calming swing. Elephant Rocking facilitates such a luxury. It cups your body in its bucket seat wrapped in hide or colored in polyurethane, the arms cascade into the design with a peek hole of interest on either side. The rocking base is made of wood, natural and lovely, it echoes against the floor with the age old rhythm. Fall in love with the cutest thing to hit your apartment since that set of tumblers you found at the antique shop. Courageously it straddles the line between vintage and modern, giving us the sweet and savory at the same time.

German designers at Neuland, Paster, and Geldmacher studio collaborated with the Italian design group Kristalia‘s with their original elephant chair in this project. Expectations are set pretty hight with this new version since the stationary seat won 2012 Best of the Best Interior Innovation Award.

I find a way to fearlessly provoke your senses and take you by the heart to whatever it is I’m writing about. My sweet spot is creative writing, but for the last 20 years I have been providing freelance content for publications on sustainability and green practices, design, architecture, fashion, and non-profit charity. Recently all wrapped up in producing my first book. I have bounced from NYC to Indianapolis, but my true home is a lovely small town in Central Pennsylvania where there’s a legit drive-your-tractor-to-school-day.
