Metal Wire Art by CW Roelle

CW Roelle‘s new twist on the paint-by-numbers concept is much more than magnetic; it’s a synthetic take on existing art, accomplished by way of bending black metal wire to mimic his drawings. Amazingly, this process actually takes less time to finish than the stenciled work upon which the metal mimics. Roelle’s technique ranges from absolutely exquisite, nigh-perfect illustrative replicas of home exteriors and animals, to the uncanny valley of people who seem to become intertwined in the guts of the entire picture. Due to the nature of the metal material in use, it becomes a bit unnerving to decipher what is meant to leap out in 3D, and what is actually quite static. Roelle currently sells many of his works, and due to the hand-warped nature of the craft, no two will be the same.
