Skyward house by Japanese architect Kazuhiko Kishimoto is a modern day sanctuary situated among nature making it a perfect dwelling away from the busy streets. The living quarter had to be lifted so that it couldn’t be viewed from the street. The house is situated on a small hill and gives a beautiful view of the surrounding area. The wood exterior blends perfectly with the landscape and yet provides a clean and modern touch.
Even though it’s compact in it’s size, it’s very spacious on the inside. The house has a lot of sky lights and the windows are wall sized. The rooms are small but have versatility in their design, and could be rearranged in different ways. The openness of the space is due to the windows that create different shadows throughout the day making this a very “green” home as well.
