Float, Cork Pendant Lights by Benjamin Hubert

View all 8 Photos

Normally, cork is a material designed to keep substances restrained; with Benjamin Hubert‘s Float lamp, it reverses this idea, instead serving as the conduit to release a soft glow. Composed of sturdy, sustained cork and created through traditional wood working method, the hanging lamp emits a rich, retro color, and isn’t as fragile as your typical crystalline lights. In the wake of each lamp’s production, the volume of waste material reaches a point where it can even be shaped into future cork lamps, providing us with a rich cycle of aesthetic renewal.
