TYP  is a collection of leather goods, designed by Teruhiro Yanagihara, for the Tokyo based leather manufacturer Morpho. All items are handmade in downtown Tokyo, using a particular ecological cowhide of extraordinary thinness and superior quality.
The brand concept evolved around the theme of paper and stationary. The dimensions of the products correspond to international ISO standard paper sizes (C4, A4, A5, A6, A7,B6, B5), an open format that is not determined by its content, but should allow free, imaginative usage. In order to keep the design as thin and simple as possible there is a special closing mechanism that works only through folding, without the use of a zipper or button.
The collection consists of three lines: The Sheet Series, The File Series and The Paperbag Series

The minimal sheet series is kept as thin as possible, like a folded sheet of paper, and slides easily in every pocket.
The file series comes in the same sizes, but features compartments like the pockets of a file and offers abundant space. Both series have a leather outside and canvas lining.
The paperbag series are versatile containers to store and carry this and that and comes in leather without lining.
