With hues that boast a brighter take on the typical De Stijl aesthetic, Alex Chow’s Platform Side Table brings a contemporary twist through both color and form. The table, a mix of industrial metal and organic wood, is an adjustable piece by means of a metal nut and bolt. Curves join the party of lemon and turquoise vertical bars through the plywood arm resembling a C-clamp, as well as the upturn of the table’s surface. Hand-cut drawers complete the whimsical table, with a functional finish to its highly sculptural appearance.
