Young talent and passion is at the heart of the wooden bike that Nic Roberts built for his school project. Roberts, in his senior year of an industrial technology major, assembled a custom wooden bike that bears the originality of a dreamer untouched by convention and the skillfulness of an experienced craftsman. The frame, built from a number of processes on Tasmanion oak, jarrah, and rock maple, complements rims and handlebars from Cerchio Ghisallo. The red seat and foot pedals give the right amount of flair fit for a teenager looking to make his mark on the world. Though the bike is a singular production from Roberts, one only hopes to see more from him in the future.
