Starting from 1943 and extending to 2013, Nomoon documents a transformation of the beloved Vespa through a series of cartoonish animations in Vespalogy. The video short produced by the French creative agency is homage to the scooter manufactured by Piaggio. Even for those unfamiliar with the Italian vehicle, the illustrated history is full of surprises and fun. As wheels are pictorially replaced and as colorful scooter parts pop in and out of the screen, a lottery of transformations chronicles the historic, classic, futuristic, and current designs of the Vespa. The simple representations are comical and whimsical, while achieving a level of poignancy in their tribute.
