Not unlike instant cup ramen, Instant Life presents a flavorful combination from the ingredients of anonymous individuals, their daily activities, and an aerial perspective from photographer Florian Beaudenon. The choice to shoot the series from above places the photographs in an interesting middle ground of respectful distance and intrusion of privacy. A woman kneels on the floor poised over bicycle parts while an artist is surrounded by black table and black carpet with only his art and tools serving as the source of color. The subjects remain unaware, making the images ever more compelling… to the point that you start to wonder whether they are purposely ignoring your presence.
