Papila, Common Food Redesigned

  • Change can be good. Change that burnt out lightbulb, change your old dingy towels for some new plush ones, change your diet from crappy convenient to homemade healthy, and please change your poor baby’s diaper because, pardon me but, it reeks! Though we aren’t always in the mood for change in our comfortable lives, it can open gateways for fresh adventures we never imagined.

In this menu of curious edibles, we are given a new way of seeing food. Mix your candy bar craving with a coffee fix and you will be pleasantly surprised to find the solid coffee a satisfying compromise. Map your way from state to state with a delicious dessert, each one leaving you with a good taste in your mouth. If veggies bore you on the plate, turn them into a familiar treat on a stick and lolli-fy them lickety-split as Candy Vegetables. Be pleased to discover a dinner roll gone scrubbie called Bread Britte to “clean off your plate” as we most commonly do anyways, wiping up the juices and sauces, mmmm del-ish.  Just when you think cookies and milk needn’t be changed for any improvement, feast your eyes on the integrated dip grip named Dipit. And when dreaming of gems and proposals, suppress the subject with a chocolate rock: this should be the answer for every female problem. These features are created by Alberto Arza, Proyecta, Berta Riera, Guillem Ferran as part of the Papila Designer Food project.

Allison ABOUT ALLISON PARKER - Allison Parker is a proud stay at home mom maintaining a full schedule kissing boo boos and passing out hugs just because. Her days many times are spent between the garden and the kitchen. From a journey of learning whole food eating habits, she's taken on the challenges of baking bread, muffins and cakes from scratch and filling the cellar shelves with scores of her own canned goods each year. Writing is one of those things she does because its part of who she is. That and it's a nice break from the never ending work that comes with raising a family.
