Meet the Be.e. Combining sustainable and vintage design, this scooter is a standout among the next generation of Light Electric Vehicles (LEVs). Made for the streets and countrysides of the Netherlands, the Be.e goes up to 55km/hour, climbs gentle hills, and repels the elements with a nano-coated windshield. Even when carrying two passengers through the rain at top speed, the Be.e stays charged for at least two hours. Designed by Waarmakers for Van.eko, the Be.e is available in black, brown, or pale green, and features inlaid circles of brown and silver. The body of the scooter is made from Natural Fiber-reinforced Composites (NFCs), including hemp and flax seeds. Although a scooter made from ingredients you can find in a granola bar may sound flimsy, the Be.e is actually stronger than its glass-fibre competitors, with plants compressed in a hull shape that doubles as an exterior and a frame.
