What are your dreams? Have you set out to claim them? Or maybe put them on a shelf for another season in life? Those wild hearted dreams of yours may never have their place in grown up life…unless you live for the now, for the today, for the “why the heck not” like Nick Olson and Lilah Horwitz. This video clip by Matt Glass and Jordan Wayne Long tells the tale laced with vintage undertones. Set in the mountains of West Virginia, this couple has built a get-away-from-it-all studio using salvaged windows and old repurposed plank flooring. They live in perfect harmony with the view all around them, hence the wall of windows that capture every last crest of the horizon, the pond, the hills, the trees. Even in their trades, they seek to create what they enjoy. The home was built with their own hands, their clothes crafted one stitch at a time, even the camera and all its functioning parts were put together by hand. And so if you need them, they’ll be enjoying their bungalow without worries and with the greatest satisfaction that comes with pursuing a dream.

I find a way to fearlessly provoke your senses and take you by the heart to whatever it is I’m writing about. My sweet spot is creative writing, but for the last 20 years I have been providing freelance content for publications on sustainability and green practices, design, architecture, fashion, and non-profit charity. Recently all wrapped up in producing my first book. I have bounced from NYC to Indianapolis, but my true home is a lovely small town in Central Pennsylvania where there’s a legit drive-your-tractor-to-school-day.
