Architects Luís Rebelo de Andrade and Tiago Rebelo de Andrade in partnership with the Modular System Company worked together in the tree tops of Portugal presenting us with the TREE SNAKE HOUSES of Pedras Salgadas Park. Side by side the long tree house concepts stretch through the forest just like the slithering reptile itself. The design using native raw materials was mindful of sustainability including layers and reinforced insulation, heating systems, water reuse, water solar panels, the low consumption lighting system using LED technology. Each hut made to match the environment wraps a studio with kitchen and washroom facilities in a tribal construction. The interior sings with elegance, against the wooden exterior, celebrating all things natural and beautiful.

Allison

Allison Parker is a proud stay at home mom maintaining a full schedule kissing boo boos and passing out hugs just because. Her days many times are spent between the garden and the kitchen. From a journey of learning whole food eating habits, she's taken on the challenges of baking bread, muffins and cakes from scratch and filling the cellar shelves with scores of her own canned goods each year. Writing is one of those things she does because its part of who she is. That and it's a nice break from the never ending work that comes with raising a family.
