The Bond Street Townhouse in Brooklyn, NY speaks to the old, answers rather new. Architect Ben Bischoff stripped the home down to its bare bones, with a blank slate the vision began to present itself. Reorient the stairs to unveil the skylight above; new flooring, partitions, and ceilings…character in custom cabinetry fabricated from re-milled salvaged wood beams and exposed original brick. Much of the space and its decor reflects a sun filled floor plan built to suit a family that hits a solid modern note. And just as they claim, “MADE’s work exhibits a refreshing clarity of detail and craft producing an aesthetic both natural and unique.”

I find a way to fearlessly provoke your senses and take you by the heart to whatever it is I’m writing about. My sweet spot is creative writing, but for the last 20 years I have been providing freelance content for publications on sustainability and green practices, design, architecture, fashion, and non-profit charity. Recently all wrapped up in producing my first book. I have bounced from NYC to Indianapolis, but my true home is a lovely small town in Central Pennsylvania where there’s a legit drive-your-tractor-to-school-day.
