What a picturesque residence squeezed between the courtyard lined with plants and bistro sets. The timber frame around the doors and windows and also the cobblestone walk are an invitation to linger, better yet, come on in. Fix your eyes on the glass room hovering above the day’s activities. It is transparent providing minimal privacy, although its presence helps define the kitchen boundaries nestled directly below. This tiny home in Paris is enchanted with staircases, cutting the floor plan into zones of living and decor. Somehow all the essentials made it into the plan and we feel welcome here. Amidst the cozy bookcases and exposed stone walls are the modern furnishings making this renovation a refreshing balance of old meets new. A project by the office NZI Architectes.

Allison

Allison Parker is a proud stay at home mom maintaining a full schedule kissing boo boos and passing out hugs just because. Her days many times are spent between the garden and the kitchen. From a journey of learning whole food eating habits, she's taken on the challenges of baking bread, muffins and cakes from scratch and filling the cellar shelves with scores of her own canned goods each year. Writing is one of those things she does because its part of who she is. That and it's a nice break from the never ending work that comes with raising a family.
