After being rejected from engineering school, 23-year-old Colin Darling used the money he had saved as a Starbucks barista to make his first custom build. Teaching himself as he went along, Darling remastered this 1982 920 Virago. He took the brakes, clip-ons, fork, and front wheel from a 2010 Yamaha R6, the rear suspension from a 2010 MV Agusta F4 1000RR, and the tank from a 1978 Kawasaki KZ650 SR. He dressed up the black ceramic base and black powder-coated frame and wheels with a clear powder-coated tank, a diamond stitched bobber seat, a stainless steel Logo plated in 24 carat gold, and 3D printed badges. Contact Darling directly to inquire about purchasing the bike and helping fund his next build.
