Designed by Josemaria de Churtichaga and Cayetana de La Quadra-Salcedo of ch+qs arquitectos, the B House reflects the yellows found in the surrounding fields. The single-wood house has a yellow undertone reminiscent of the muddy sheeps’ wool and summer hay. Its mustard chimney and door brighten the home while mimicking yellows of spring flowers, fall ash leaves, and winter lichen. Warmed by the same hues, the interior has a feeling of coziness. The space is small with low ceilings, yet the glass windows and walls of the basement and the den visually expand the space, making way for natural light and a meadowland view.
