The traditional Spanish “piggy bank” is a simple clay pot, not in the image of a pig. This modern take, designed by the Valencia studio Mr. Simon in collaboration with Domanises, updates the folk design, replacing the clay with wood and topping it off with a ceramic lid. The two-part bank measures how much money is deposited, as the ceramic element is pushed up by the addition of coins. The bank counts €2 coins in increments of 200 and stores up to €1,000.
