Invented by Multipod Studio, the Pop-Up House is a passive building that can be made quickly and without specialized tools. Its dark gray insulating blocks and wooden panels absorb and distribute solar energy. The materials are lightweight, allowing for quick and easy installation, and recyclable, conserving earth’s resources. Building a Pop-Up House is not a gruelling or technical process. The designers claim it’s as simple as building with Legos. All one needs is a few days’ free time and a wireless screwdriver. Accessible and creative, constructing a Pop-Up House is a personalized experience for each client, and the homes can be made in various shapes, size. Need inspiration? Check out the studio’s first two constructions, which, finished with rain screens and wood siding, exemplify the potential of Pop-Up Houses as small, minimalist spaces.
