New to the Portland, Oregon bike scene, Cylo is a startup co-founded by American-French brothers Eric and Antoine Duvauchelle. Combining the American word “cycle” with its French equivalent “vélo,” the company name invokes both cultures, and their first release, the aptly named Cylo One, draws from both. The urban bike is American-made, although its lightweight aluminum frame was collaboratively developed with ARRO.studio in Paris, France. In addition to the distinctly shaped frame, the bicycle boasts a carbon belt, dynamo power, and LED-lit brakes, among other benefits. The first run of fifty bikes will include three models, starting at $1850, each available in orange, black, or white.
